Working in an Test Engineer role
Software Test Engineers also often known as Software Test Analysts, play an important role in a Software Development team; their job is to rigorously test the software built by the developers / engineers to identify & fix bugs, defects, and other errors to ensure the product being used by the end user works as efficiently, smoothly and safely as possible.
They write and execute tests on either a manual or automated basis to identify issues and then log them for developers to resolve. They play a key role in ensuring that software is of a high standard, secure & safe to use.
