Starting a Career as an Account Executive
An Account Executive job within the creative industry is an important junior role, but an exciting one and full of potential for career development. This level of candidate normally works within a creative and marketing agency environment and successful agencies will have a structured career path for employees to follow. Manchester and the Northwest have a plethora of different agencies working on a range of clients in a variety of sectors; it’s your first step into the fast-paced and creative world of marketing, creative and advertising.
Responsibilities for people in this role would generally revolve around supporting those at a more senior level and ‘learning the ropes’. In addition it would include researching for client projects, doing competitor research and analysis and helping compile presentations for clients.
You will occasionally have client interaction and so it’s vital that you have good communication skills, both written and oral. You will also work closely with creative teams to ensure that smaller client projects are running smoothly and delivered on time.
