Studio and Traffic Management
Studio and Traffic Manager jobs are vital to the smooth running of an advertising agency or creative department. Sitting between the account handling department and the creative and development department, they not only ensure that work is being evenly distributed, but also, that everything is on time and within budget. If the resource is low, they are responsible for finding freelancers to pitch in with projects and making sure that there are cohesion and communication between the teams and stakeholders.
They will oversee the personnel requirements in a studio environment, managing budgets to ensure that it delivers within the target and interacting with clients on the output. To be a strong Studio or Traffic Manager, you will devise and adhere to strict time schedules and workflows, and so it’s important that Studio Managers are process-driven, organised and most importantly, calm under pressure! Without a Manager in place, the creative team could get incredibly disorganised and chaotic, with Designers backlogged in projects.
We’ll typically recruit candidates into Studio Manager roles in environments such as advertising and marketing agencies, specialist photography studios, client-side marketing departments, interior design businesses, architecture, gaming and possibly TV or film studios. Career opportunities can be dependent on which of these areas candidates specialise in with some sectors like gaming and marketing agencies being higher volume than others.
