Are you a commercially minded Merchandiser with a passion for data, forecasting and driving product performance?
We’re looking for an experienced Merchandiser with at least 2 years’ experience to join a growing, fast-paced merchandising team. You’ll take ownership of your product ranges and use sales analysis, forecasting and stock management to drive performance and identify opportunities for growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines strong analytical skills with commercial awareness, enjoys working at pace and is confident making data-led decisions that maximise sales while keeping stock levels healthy.
The Role
As Merchandiser, you’ll take ownership of your product ranges and their commercial performance. You’ll work closely with the Buying team and senior merchandising colleagues to forecast sales, manage stock intake and make sure the right products are available across multiple sales channels. You’ll play a key role in maximising sales, minimising markdown and keeping product development and delivery on track.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Forecasting & Commercial Performance
- Forecast future sales and stock intake requirements across your product ranges.
- Analyse historical sales, market trends and missed opportunities to help shape future product ranges.
- Track performance against plan, taking action to minimise markdown spend and maximise sales opportunities.
- Review sales performance regularly, identifying trends and applying lessons learned.
- Spot potential issues early, escalating where needed and recommending practical solutions.
Stock & Range Management
- Manage stock intake in line with agreed stock-turn targets, balancing product availability with efficient stockholding.
- Oversee sales and stock availability across multiple sales channels.
- Take ownership of your product ranges and drive their commercial performance.
- Identify new product opportunities and act quickly to maximise their potential.
Supplier & Critical Path Management
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to make sure products are developed and delivered in line with agreed timelines.
- Build strong working relationships with suppliers and partners to improve delivery schedules and critical path management.
- Monitor key milestones, proactively resolving issues that could affect product availability or launch dates.
- Maintain accurate records and make sure deadlines are met.
About You
You’ll be an experienced Merchandiser who enjoys working at pace, takes ownership of their ranges and knows how to balance availability, stock and commercial performance.
You’ll ideally bring:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a Merchandiser role.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using merchandising systems to manage sales, stock, intake and margin.
- Strong sales forecasting and analytical skills.
- Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across teams and at different levels.
- The ability to work at pace, manage deadlines and maintain accuracy.
Experience of critical path management, WSSI management or end-to-end budget planning would also be advantageous.
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll be commercially minded, inquisitive and proactive, with the confidence to challenge, identify opportunities and recommend solutions. You’ll take ownership of your ranges, stay on top of the detail and work collaboratively with colleagues across Buying, Merchandising and Supply Chain, as well as with external partners.
You’ll also be adaptable, comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and confident making data-led decisions that drive product performance.
