The opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing, technology-led US manufacturer that's changing what customers expect from its industry. In just a few years they've grown from a start-up into a multi-million-pound business by putting customers first, saying "yes" when others say "no", and building their own systems driven by innovation and automation. They move quickly, take a "challenge accepted" approach, and are now building their team in Manchester.

They're looking for a Dispatch Scheduling Manager to make sure every order reaches the customer on time, in full and at the right cost. This is an office-based planning role, away from the dispatch floor and focused on scheduling rather than traditional logistics. You'll use data, warehouse systems and live order visibility to plan exactly what ships, when and how.

Key responsibilities

• Own the dispatch schedule: know what's ready, what's due tomorrow and what's coming next, and keep a clear plan everyone can work from

• Plan around production capacity, matching manufacturing output to customer deadlines

• Weigh up timings, capacity and cost to find the most economical way to ship, including shipping early when it saves money

• Track live orders through warehouse and fulfilment systems, making sure they're picked and packed in full

• Manage warehouse capacity so nothing gets held up

• Work closely with the Transactions and Reporting teams, and coordinate with the US warehouse to keep both sides aligned

About you

• Experience in scheduling, planning or resourcing. Scheduling skills matter more than your industry

• Backgrounds in ecommerce or retail fulfilment, food and grocery supply chains, warehouse planning, media or advertising scheduling, radio scheduling or creative resource planning are all welcome

• Highly organised and detail-focused, and you notice when something doesn't add up

• Comfortable using data and systems to make decisions

• You enjoy balancing deadlines, capacity and cost, and you plan ahead rather than firefight

• A clear communicator who takes ownership and follows things through without needing to be chased

• No logistics, print or international experience needed, as full training is provided

What's on offer

• Salary of £35,000–£45,000, depending on experience

• Hybrid working: Tuesday to Thursday in a stunning city-centre Manchester office, Monday and Friday from home

• Free on-site gym membership

• Hours: 11am–7pm Monday to Thursday to overlap with the US team, and 9am–5pm on Friday

• The chance to join an ambitious, fast-growing business and help shape how dispatch planning works

If you love bringing order to lots of moving parts and want to make a visible difference in a business with serious ambition, we'd love to hear from you. Apply now or get in touch for a confidential conversation.
