When my co-founder and I launched our fintech business, we made the decision to move out of London and up to Manchester to pilot our brand because the Northern Powerhouse is the most affluent region for the investors that we are looking to attract. We were nervous about attracting the best talent; encouraging Londoners to jump ship and move up to the UK's second city. Laura was my first port of call.
