Are you innovative and ready to build and create brand strategy for a top retailer?

Our client are a high quality recognised retail brand who require a Head of Brand to create and execute excellent brand strategy in a very competitive marketplace. The Head of Brand will be heading up the growing strategic branding team of up to 25 and will be integral in creating strategic plans for the company then communicating it companywide whilst aligning it with overall business strategy. They will be enthusiastic and energetic and this will cascade through their teams who will be implementing the branding of the company across all media.

The perfect fit for this role will be full of energy and enthusiasm for the brand and using it to move business forward into their next exciting phase. They will have expert knowledge in all media and know the uses and limitations of them all. They will have a think outside of the box predisposition, making decisions with the bigger picture in mind. They will be visionary and this vision will match the values of the company and thereby execute this in brand strategy.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Director of Brand

  • Take ownership of company brand strategy working closely with ecommerce and creative teams to ensure this reflects the voice of the company
  • A visionary who thinks on strategic level, taking creative briefs and making them become real life campaigns and excellent representation of the brand
  • Communicate brand strategy over the whole company and police the branding on all materials and media released ensuring they are brand appropriate and of outstanding quality
  • Build an excellent and highly optimised brand strategy team equipping them with the skills, knowledge and tools to deliver high quality campaigns

Skills and attributes

  • A wealth of senior experience in a retailer with examples of brand leadership and a portfolio of successful strategies however agency side would be welcomed
  • An advocate for the company brand and culture. Someone who can hear the voice of a brand and build excellent and memorable strategies to amplify it in the appropriate channels
  • Someone who has a full grasp of all media and can make decisions around brand strategy that will optimise the effectiveness on each platform
  • An energiser who exudes positivity and enthusiasm in order to deliver world class brand
  • An excellent communicator with a strategic mind-set and is able to communicate company strategy through the business and with key stakeholders internal and external
  • Someone who is innovative and bursting with ideas to use in creating strategy
  • Has an understanding of commercial value when considering P&L and it's impact on customers and staff
