A Marketing Assistant job tends to be an entry-level role, primarily to support the marketing function of an organisation with important but more junior tasks. These may include elements of campaign administration, compilation of results, helping to put together presentations and being part of marketing meetings either internally or with suppliers. The right person will have a real interest in marketing, the results and impact that campaigns have and be a great communicator. Being diligent in both written and numerical skills will be important for the different aspects of this position.

Training is very important for these employees; it will determine how quickly they can climb the career ladder or have an impact on the organisation. They will normally report into a Marketing Executive or Marketing Manager and support them on the more important campaign elements. Salaries are low and at entry level and these roles are normally offered to graduates with a degree in business, marketing, IT or similar being a popular avenue via university.
