A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Performance Media Manager to join a leading UK retail brand in a pivotal role that combines digital marketing innovation and technology. This permanent position, based in Manchester, offers the chance to shape the future of a newly in-housed, award-winning Performance Media team. This growing in-house team is at the forefront of online advertising, responsible for delivering significant business growth through high-impact performance media strategies. Partnering with top-tier agencies and platforms, the team operates across key digital channels including Paid Search, Paid Social, Display, and Affiliates.


The Performance Media Manager will lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for technology and data-led initiatives across Performance Media. The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimising the digital media ecosystem, driving capability development and operational efficiency through the evaluation and implementation of cutting-edge tools and platforms.

What you'll be doing... 

  • Define and execute a technology strategy that drives growth, innovation, and efficiency across Performance Media channels.
  • Build strategic partnerships with agencies and platforms including Google, Meta, Smartly, and Jellyfish to maximise media effectiveness.
  • Identify, assess, and implement new AI tools to enhance campaign performance and streamline workflows.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to measure the impact of tech initiatives and demonstrate clear performance uplift.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of four, fostering a culture of excellence and strengthening digital capability across channels.

What we're looking for...

  • A digital marketing expert with 8 to 10 years of experience, confident working across at least three key channels such as PPC, Paid Social, Display, and Affiliates
  • Strong understanding of marketing AI & automation technologies and how they drive media performance and effectiveness
  • A collaborative leader with experience managing and motivating teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to drive agendas across internal and external teams
  • Curious, commercially focused, and capable of turning strategy into action
