We’re looking for a driven and commercially minded Account Director to join a leading media owner based in the heart of Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in media sales who thrives on building relationships, delivering revenue growth, and working in a fast-paced, creative environment.
As an Account Director, you’ll develop a deep understanding of the agencies within your patch, building strong and lasting relationships. Your day-to-day will be varied from working on pitches to contributing ideas that enhance sales effectiveness. You’ll take the time to fully understand advertiser plans, objectives, and measures of success, ensuring your approach is always strategic and impactful.
What you'll be doing...
- Own and grow a portfolio of agency and direct client relationships.
- Drive new business while accurately forecasting revenue and tracking performance.
- Develop clear agency account plans to support a focused sale strategy
- Build strong visibility within agencies through regular meetings and events.
- Deliver compelling, insight-led pitches that align with advertiser objectives.
- Work cross-functionally to create and execute effective campaigns.
- Consistently achieve revenue targets and key KPIs
What we're looking for...
- Proven experience in media sales - ideally within a media owner environment.
- Comfortable communicating with stakeholders and presentation skills
- Experience developing and nurturing strong agency relationships.
- A strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- A proactive, commercially driven mindset
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts
- A passion for media and delivering creative, effective solutions for clients
