An exciting opportunity to lead the growth strategy for an established and ambitious ecommerce business.

We’re working with a well-established, privately owned ecommerce business that is entering an exciting new phase of growth. With significant investment already made in technology, automation and customer experience, the business has ambitious plans to substantially increase revenue over the coming years.

They’re now looking for an exceptional Head of Growth to take ownership of the overall growth strategy.

This is not a traditional Marketing Manager role. We’re looking for someone who has already helped scale an ecommerce business and knows how to use data, experimentation and commercial insight to drive meaningful growth.

The Role

As Head of Growth, you’ll own the growth agenda across acquisition, conversion, retention and customer value, working closely with senior leadership and the wider ecommerce team.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering the overall growth strategy
  • Identifying new opportunities to increase revenue and customer growth
  • Driving customer acquisition and improving on-site conversion
  • Leading a strong A/B testing and test-and-learn programme
  • Using analytics and customer insight to influence commercial decisions
  • Developing SEO and AI search/GEO strategies alongside specialist agency partners
  • Leading CRM, retention and customer lifecycle activity
  • Improving repeat purchase and customer lifetime value
  • Developing growth KPIs, reporting and performance dashboards
  • Managing growth budgets and ensuring investment delivers ROI
  • Bringing new technologies, ideas and approaches into the business
  • Building a genuinely data-led growth culture

About You

We’re looking for someone who has done this before.

You’ll ideally have experience as a Head of Growth, Head of Ecommerce, Ecommerce Director or senior digital leader, with a proven track record of scaling ecommerce revenue.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong ecommerce growth experience
  • A highly commercial and data-driven mindset
  • Proven experience with CRO, A/B testing and experimentation
  • Strong acquisition and retention knowledge
  • Experience across CRM and customer lifecycle
  • A good understanding of SEO and the changing AI search landscape
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills
  • Experience managing meaningful budgets
  • The ability to turn data into clear, actionable growth opportunities
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills

We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate specific examples of how they have delivered growth, rather than simply having experience managing marketing channels.

The Person

Cultural fit is important here.

This is a privately owned, entrepreneurial and straightforward business. It’s collaborative, non-corporate and values people who are honest, open to feedback and comfortable challenging ideas.

You’ll need to be:

  • Commercially curious
  • Entrepreneurial and forward-thinking
  • Comfortable getting hands-on
  • Naturally analytical
  • Open to testing, learning and challenging the status quo
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders
  • Someone who gets things done without unnecessary process

You’ll have budget, autonomy and genuine scope to make a difference.

What’s on Offer?

  • £80,000 salary
  • Hybrid working – approximately 2/3 days per week in the Dorset office
  • Significant ownership of the growth strategy
  • Budget to invest behind your ideas
  • A secure, well-established privately owned business
  • A collaborative and entrepreneurial culture
  • The opportunity to play a key role in scaling an ambitious ecommerce business

If you’ve already helped scale an ecommerce business and are looking for a role where you can genuinely own and influence growth, we’d love to hear from you.
