This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded digital merchandiser to take the reins of the trading operations during a maternity cover period. Sitting within a dynamic marketing team, the Digital Trading Lead will be instrumental in driving online sales, optimising the customer journey, and coordinating cross-functional activity to deliver a seamless and engaging ecommerce experience.
What You’ll Be Doing…
- Acting as the central point of contact for trading, liaising with internal teams and external partners to deliver the online merchandising strategy
- Owning key performance metrics including sales, conversion, and customer satisfaction, and delivering against the P&L
- Briefing and coordinating digital messaging for campaigns and promotions, ensuring brand consistency across content and design
- Using analytics tools to report on performance, uncover customer insights, and identify tactical trading opportunities
- Leading visual merchandising across categories and curated pages, balancing commercial priorities with aesthetic appeal
- Developing and optimising the search and navigation strategy to improve product discoverability and conversion
- Enhancing site usability through taxonomy, filters, redirects, and product recommendations, using both platform tools and third-party integrations
- Collaborating with buying, merchandising, and marketing teams to deliver joined-up campaigns and content
What We’re Looking For…
- Proven experience in digital merchandising, ideally within a B2C multichannel retail environment
- Strong understanding of ecommerce UX, customer journey optimisation, and search/navigation best practices
- Confident using digital analytics tools (e.g. GA360, Adobe Analytics) to generate insights and drive decisions
- Advanced Excel skills and solid general computer literacy
- Experience managing third party suppliers is a plus
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering great customer experiences
