We are delighted to be representing this top client in their search for a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join their growing team. As a BDM, you will be responsible for driving new business and expanding revenues from existing accounts within the manufacturing sector. You will play a key role in increasing their market share and contributing to the company's continued success.

The ideal candidate will also possess a will to win and bring significant energy and enthusiasm to the role. They should be driven to learn the industry quickly, with a strong self confidence and can- do attitude that is balanced with humility and a collaborative spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities with house builders in your assigned region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within house builder organisations.
  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions that meet their specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals meet customer expectations and project specifications.
  • Develop and implement targeted campaigns to generate leads and drive brand awareness.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the house builder sector.
  • Accurately track sales activity, progress, and results using CRM software and provide regular updates to management.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven ability to sell complex tailored solutions, such as design or other professional services.
  • B2B, solution selling experience is essential.
  • Consultative sales approach.
  • Experience selling into developers/construction is essential.
  • Proven track record of success in a business development or sales role within a related industry (e.g., construction, landscaping, outdoor recreation).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
  • Self-motivated and driven with a strong work ethic.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of playground equipment and safety standards.
  • Experience working with local authorities and planning departments.
  • Understanding of the house building industry and development processes.
