A Digital Marketing Manager’s job will involve having budget control over the marketing channels that they manage and have acquisition targets to deliver against these budgets. They will have been successful in a Digital Marketing Executive position and now have significantly more responsibility in ensuring that the marketing activities are fully effective. They will plan and execute strategies across digital marketing channels and continuously be looking for ways to enhance the presence of the brand and company they work for.
At manager level, they will have 3 – 5 years experience in the sector that their employer works in and may have completed that elsewhere. They will be career minded and have a knowledge of how many years it will take to achieve Digital Marketing Director status and possibly where they can achieve this. They will need to have the opportunity to work with large budgets and have access to the latest software that will allow them to excel in their job. Without this, another similar position in another company may become more attractive.
