An Email Designer’s job is to work on projects in an agency or in a company to design their marketing emails whilst working alongside Digital Designers to produce on-brand templates that complement the company’s style. At times Digital Designers will cross over into adopting this role but where the role exists in large companies, Email Designers can work closely with CRM departments on strategies to communicate with existing customers and maximise engagement. Encouraging customers to click through and maximise the ROI from them is a significant objective of this type of strategy.
Key things for Email Designers to consider are similar to that of web pages which include colours, style, layout, call to action and brand. Email Designers will have a knowledge of the statistics that email marketing can produce, such as open rates and click throughs and ultimately the success of the email campaign and the Email Designer’s work will be measured by these!
