A Digital Designer’s job is to focus their creative skills on web and digital platforms, taking briefs from clients and producing work to develop websites and online assets. They will have user experience at the forefront of their mind but balancing the creative requirements and engagement will also be important as they aim to maximise interaction with their work.  Skills in HTML and CSS are common within this role in order to turn their creativity into great pieces of work. A knowledge of other softwares such as Adobe Suite are common and working with a Digital Project Manager they can help clients within their online requirements.

Normally working within an agency environment working on different client projects, they can also take client side roles, especially where the client will have new designs and projects launched regularly and therefore creating an ongoing requirement. If it is an agency environment, there will be pitching for business will be required, where it will draw on their ability to create a range of design options.
