Motion Graphics Artists are responsible for communicating ideas and propositions through creative animations, this can include 2D/3D animation, 3D modelling, stop frame or computer generated animations. These animations could be used across a variety of channels for many different purposes ranging from computer games to online promotional videos, to animated films. Identifying the right Motion Graphics Artist for your vacancy heavily depends on their skills set including technical ability, artistic flair and knowledge of computer software.   

What makes a good Motion Graphics Artist?

  • Great communication skills: It's vital that candidates are able to interact with others. The ability to liaise with clients and thoroughly understand their briefs is essential, this could mean regular contact and face to face meetings. Communication is also a key part of being a team player - and what production company doesn't want one of those?
  • Creative Flair: The ability to take a concept or idea and turn it into something amazing! We looking for people with experience creating storyboards that depict narrative.
  • Technical ability: What design packages can they use? Key software includes: After Effects, Cinema 4D, Maya & Nuke.
