Christmas is the time to give and think of others. Have you ever felt like your office deserved to receive a reward after working really hard on a particular piece of work? Perhaps a colleague, friend or just someone you know has gone the extra mile recently? Or maybe you just want the opportunity to treat yourself? After all it is Christmas!

The Candidate are giving away daily prizes from 2nd of December until the 20th of December. People can nominate themselves to win the prize, their office/colleagues or nominate someone they know who they think deserves to win the prize. 

Entrants can submit their entry via our Facebook, tweet us @TheCandidateUK or post an image on their personal Instagram. All entries must include the hashtag #actsofxmas to be valid. 

Deadline for entry each day is 3.30pm for the current day's prize. 

Prizes will include gifts from Cineworld, Dominos, All Star Lanes Manchester, Marks & Spencers, The Royal Exchange Theatre, Waterstones, Amazon, John Lewis, Manchester Arndale, Cineworld, Starbucks, iTunes, Netflix, ASOS, Boots & Pizza Express.

You can be as creative as you like with an image or it can be as a simple as a tweet. We've included a couple of examples below to get you started.

Terms and Conditions

1. This free prize draw is open only to UK residents based in the UK aged 18 and over at the date of entry and excludes anyone who is connected with the administration of this promotion.

2. Entry is online only with entries being collected via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

3. Entrants must comment on the competition Facebook post each day and include the hashtag #actsofxmas. To enter via Twitter or Instagram, entrants may tweet directly https://twitter.com/thecandidateuk and/or include the hashtag #actsofxmas. On Instagram, users must post an image and explain its relevance in the comments section. It must also include the hashtag #actsofxmas.

4. The Promoter will not be liable for entries which are not received or which are incomplete, corrupt or delayed for any reason. The prize draw opens on Monday 2/12/13 and the last date for receipt of entries is Friday 20/12/13 at 3.30pm.

5. All valid entries with the correct hashtag which are received by 3.30pm each day during the competition period will be entered into a daily prize draw. The winner will be picked at random. 

6. There are 25 prizes to be won. The prize value will not exceed £10 unless otherwise stated. An alternative will be supplied if original prize is not available. Prizes will be from Cineworld, Dominos, All Star Lanes Manchester, Marks & Spencers, The Royal Exchange Theatre, Waterstones, Amazon, John Lewis, Manchester Arndale, Cineworld, Starbucks, iTunes, Netflix, ASOS, Boots & Pizza Express.

7. The prize cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged. There is no cash alternative.

8. The winner will be notified via the social media platform they entered on no later than 5pm and will be required to provide their postal or email address before prizes can be delivered.

9. In the event that contact cannot be made with the winner within 24 hours from the first date of an attempt to notify such winner, then no more attempts will be made to contact the winner and the prize will be forfeited. A new winner will then be selected from the remaining correct entries.

10. The winner should allow up to 7 days from notification of winning for delivery of the prize. E-prize winners should allow up to 48 hours from notification. The prize will be delivered to a UK address only (postage included).The Promoter accepts no responsibility for the prize being lost or delayed in the post or for any additional costs incurred for re-postage.

11. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equal or lesser value in the event of unavailability due to circumstances beyond the Promoter's control.

12. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify from the promotion any entrant suspected of fraud or cheating including, without limitation, through the manipulation of codes, multiple computer generated entries, or otherwise fraudulently falsifying data or acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the opinion of the Promoter.

13. The Promoter will not be liable for system failures, network errors, its website being unavailable or personal computer issues.

14. If there is any dispute about the receipt of validity of any entry or any other aspect of the competition, this will be decided by us. The Promoter's decision is final in every situation.

15. Promoter may collect personal information from Entrants under the Data Protection Act 1998 and other applicable data privacy laws. The Promoter will only use Entrants' information for the purposes of the administration of this Prize Draw.

16. By entering this prize draw you agree that the Promoter may use your name, photo and any testimonial you have provided to the Promoter, for promotional purposes, including, without limitation, on its websites, social media, within its magazines or within promotional emails.

17. The Candidate reserves the right at its absolute discretion to cancel the competition without prior notice in the event of circumstances arising beyond its control that make it necessary to do so.

18. Entry to the prize draw shall constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions and your agreement to be bound by them. These terms and conditions take effect immediately on your entry to the free prize draw. If these terms and conditions are not accepted in full, then you should not enter this prize draw. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
