Like most people, we here at The Candidate have been keeping a close eye on the news and goings on in the UK and beyond during the Coronavirus Crisis and our sympathies lie with each and every person affected and our worries are what the impact will be in the coming weeks and months. To help in our own little way, we have decided that what we can do is share the positivity, celebrate the success and give some hope for the future.

This is where you come in …..

We are putting out an appeal. We would love to use this time to share positive stories from Greater Manchester and beyond on our blog and social media. If you have seen an act of kindness, someone or people going over and beyond, we want to celebrate it.

We would also like to use our platforms as a point of information and reference, so if you think there is something you would like to share, any requests or cries for help then send it to us and we can shout it from the rooftops to our thousands of followers.

All in all...

We are concerned with the health of our nation and making it through this challenging time but would like to tap into the compassion and emotion that is rife amongst us all. We would like to think that we won't look back and remember the time as when people who filled their garages with hand sanitiser, or bought all the pasta and toilet rolls. What we will remember are the names of people and businesses who looked after the sick, elderly, vulnerable, who educated our children, who delivered food, who cleaned our streets so they were safer,  who made sure that people weren’t lonely or in danger. The unsung heroes, people handing out coffees to people queuing at pharmacies, trolley attendants disinfecting the trolleys, taxi drivers, police officers, care assistants, this list isn’t definitive, don’t let us leave anyone off, share your stories.

If you are interested in sharing your story or promote anything that you feel is important then please email [email protected] and we would love to share it for you on our blog!
