They will take into consideration the customer journey, have collected business insights and analysed historic marketing performance in order to generate insight that can be used to create informed recommendations for product enhancement.

A strong candidate in this area would feel confident in maintaining a subjective perspective towards marketing activities. An economic mindset is also important so they can effectively prioritise the product backlog to make decisions of what goes into future sprints, based on the value to the business. Experience in organising and facilitating Agile and Scrum meetings, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Check-In, Sprint reviews, etc. would also be highly desirable. To stand out from the crowd a candidate should have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, a customer-focused approach and the ability to turn data into insight. They will also be up to date with the latest developments in their industry and ensure their product is attractive to the modern consumer.
