Those in a Digital Marketing Director job will have proven themselves at the manager level and grown the sales to have made a significant impact on the business, thus justifying the Director title. They will integrate marketing within the rest of the business to the point where it will enhance how the company operates or provides services. They will work closely with Business Directors and therefore be operating at a senior level and have the gravitas to make a difference will be required.
Digital Marketing Directors will be keen to negotiate their commercial arrangement regularly depending on the impact that it is having on the business. The more of an impact they make through digital marketing activities, the larger the basic or bonus should be. Discussions around equity are very attractive to candidates at this level as they will be approaching the top of their potential and if their impact is significant it wouldn’t be an unsurprising conversation.
