Calling all UX Designers! We’re looking for an experienced and highly skilled UX expert to join a global eCommerce business in Manchester City Centre as their new UX Designer!

Our client has grown into a global eCommerce giant represented around the world with millions of customers! Being on the market for over 4 decades, they have managed to create a strong reputation and is leading the way with the diversity of product offerings. E-commerce is a vital function for their business to grow and due to their rapid success, they are now looking for a talented UX Designer to join their fun and friendly team.

The UX Designer will be mainly focused on developing the user experience across a variety of the business’ digital platforms. Working closely with the UX Architect and other key members of the team in order to ensure that all customer needs and company objectives are translated into effective user experiences. Another element of the role will include conducting regular user research in order to identify areas for improvement as well as testing hypotheses.

The Key Responsibilities of the UX Designer:

  • Convert user needs and business elements into designs and visuals that enhance the user experience
  • Create a design for graphics and marketing materials, which will be essential elements of the A/B test campaigns and their website
  • Produce visual reports and documents based on the user experience information
  • Work closely with the UX Manager and the whole team on key projects
  • Work closely with a team of UX Designers, Analysts and Developers to enhance the user journey
  • Support the UX Manager on larger projects

The Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of design practices across their digital platforms
  • Previous experience working with Information Architecture, UI Design and Interaction Design
  • Ability to create prototype designs by using Axure, HTML and Motion Graphics
  • Ability to understand business ideas and create new ideas to enhance the user journey
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work with multiple projects at the same time
  • Be a fast learner
  • It is highly desirable if the candidate has a degree, however, this is not essential to be considered for the role
