Take on a new challenge in a rapidly expanding fashion eCommerce business as a Head of eCommerce. Play a leading role in the company’s success, which is rapidly expanding.

Our client is a fast-paced fashion company who have achieved incredible growth and success and don’t plan on slowing down. They are quickly becoming the go-to place for fast fashion, so they are looking for a Head of eCommerce to form and grow a team and increase conversions to take them to the next stage of growth!  

Based in Manchester and surrounded by talented and creative marketers, designers, and fashion buyers, the Head of eCommerce will own the user experience across all digital ensuring that they continue to deliver exceptional growth. The perfect candidate will have a strong commercial awareness, excellent innovative approach, an ability to identify customers’ likes and dislikes, and continually improve customer experience through innovative solutions.

Key roles and responsibilities of the Head of eCommerce:

  • Manage the publishing process of product and non-product content.
  • Work closely with external agencies and the IT team
  • Develop and own the delivery of a roadmap of user experience improvements, use this to drive conversion from the website.
  • Identify 3rd party technology that can be used to support user experience improvements.
  • Merchandising of the website to ensure effective product sales.
  • Support non-functional performance improvements such as Site Speed, Accessibility, and Tag Management.
  • Work alongside Marketing and Finance to execute tactical trade activity to maximise conversion and revenue.
  • Drive profitable growth through the commercial optimisation of tactical promotions.

Required skills and attributes of the Head of eCommerce:

  • Strong understanding of the IT elements of eCommerce.
  • Have a strong understanding of technical, UX and digital marketing
  • Experience in a high growth, fast fashion business
  • Strong commercial awareness, and an innovative and creative mind.
  • Effective leadership skills – can manage and develop a team of 8.
  • Previously managed eCommerce functions such as content management, merchandising, and web administration.
  • Experience working in a consumer eCommerce environment, ideally with an international, fast-paced and growing business.
  • Up to date knowledge of web technology such as personalisation, MVT tools, user testing, and Google Analytics.
