New job alert! A leading UK furniture supplier is looking for a passionate eCommerce Marketplace Manager to play a key part in the development of the online presence of their brands.

 

Our client is one of the UK’s leading furniture suppliers are on the hunt for an eCommerce Marketplace Manager to join their hardworking and friendly team of experts. Based in Manchester, the office is easily accessible from the city centre.

The eCommerce Marketplace Manager will work closely with the business’ key decision makers to ensure new ranges and marketing plans are aligned across all channels. The client has multiple brands that each has a unique content management system, so the ideal candidate will be a highly organised individual who is a fast learner and has a creative streak, allowing them to create attractive product pages for their customers. The successful candidate will have previous experience in the furniture retail industry.

 

Responsibilities of the eCommerce Marketplace Manager:

  • Uploading products to various CMS, including images, pricing, product codes, dropdown options and customer-facing copy
  • Maintaining product databases and line sheets
  • Work with the Head of Marketing to create product codes and pricing
  • Stock management – working with the team to ensure the company has sufficient stock cover
  • Working alongside the Marketing team to support the planning of sales and promotions throughout the year
  • Updating website homepage images and categories on an on-going basis, e.g. during key promotional periods, new product launches, etc.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong administrative experience is essential; the successful individual will demonstrate a high level of accuracy and have highly competent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Two years’ experience in eCommerce is desirable
  • Good basic knowledge of SEO
  • Experience of using Content Management Systems (specific training will be given)
  • A proactive, can-do attitude
  • A keen learner, who isn’t afraid to make the occasional mistake!
  • Well organised, with excellent attention to detail
  • Always looking for more efficient ways to do things
  • Ability to work using their own initiative and learn new processes and manage their own workload effectively
  • A flexible team player who is able to support and integrate into a small, hardworking and friendly team.
