Our client is an industry leader within the tech retail sector and over the years they have built themselves a strong reputation by specialising in the manufacturing and distribution of electronical products to customers worldwide. As the business starts to think about its future growth, they are now on the hunt for a talented Digital Product Owner to join their team on a 3 month rolling contract.

The Digital Product Owner will be responsible for working as part of the cross-functional team in order to ensure that the company’s ambitious digital strategy is delivered successfully. The successful candidate will also be required to work with numerous teams including IT, Sales and Marketing in order to guarantee that their online business proposition is maximised in order to drive sales performance. An individual who displays a genuine passion for software products, agile development practices and customer value along with the ability to deliver maximum business value through prioritising work will thrive within this exciting new role.

The Main Responsibilities of the Digital Product Owner:

  • Offer assistant to the digital product management of the core functionality of the business’ websites including the development of the digital product roadmap
  • Become the main point of contact for all development requests and provide recommendations on the best solutions available e.g. bug/small change
  • Liaise closely with the business analysts in order to deliver and optimise detailed functional requirements for development
  • Work closely with other teams including eProcurment, Trading and UX/UI in order to ensure user architecture and user designers are aligned with the product roadmap
  • Ensure adequate testing coverage is achieved prior to production by working closely with the user acceptance team
  • Make sure that all product requirements are specific to all regional differences, cultures and compliances by maintaining contact with the European sales teams
  • Effectively communicate the digital product roadmap, team processes and sprint deliverable with the stakeholders of the business and offer training sessions when required
  • Within the agile SCRUM development process, evaluate decisions in a pragmatic manner in order to maximise development velocity and functional delivery
  • Document all intended development so that cross-functional teams can support the development in a timely and efficient manner
  • During the testing process, identify defects and fix them in a timely and efficient manner whilst participating in release decision meetings in order to support the release and testing process

 The Perfect Candidate:

  • Educated to degree level
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in digital product management across multiple platforms and languages
  • Proven track record of effectively working with technical delivery teams in order to deliver product roadmaps
  • Expert knowledge of the latest digital product combined with a strong commercial acumen
  • Fantastic understanding of technical underpinnings of enterprise eCommerce systems
  • Excellent communication, time management, organisational and analytical skills
  • Capable of delivering results in a complex, fast-changing multi-channel marketing environment
