Established over a century ago, the business continues to grow from strength to strength. Providing quality products that are sold to a different range of clientele. Operating in over 200 stores across the country and an online store too, this business aims to satisfy their customers all while providing affordable prices. Our client is now looking to hire not one, but two new talented Website Product Merchandisers!

The Website Product Merchandiser will be in charge of the presentation of products and product content on the company’s website. Providing strong analytical skills, as they will be monitoring: web page performance and site conversion. Prior knowledge of cross selling is beneficial, as the successful candidate will be responsible of making sure that all categories online are fully optimised to company guidelines.

The Key Responsibilities of the Website Product Merchandiser:

  • Maintaining the upkeep of products and categories on the website. Making sure they are true to real life representation and visually appealing for the consumer eye.
  • Interlink different products together, to push cross selling and up selling activities.
  • Maintaining but also maximising the visibility of both internal product search and external browser search engines such as Google.
  • Completing a full audit for all the product ranges within the different categories. Tasks including: enhancing product placement on site, working on building relationships with the web optimisation teams of suppliers.
  • In regards to SEO, the candidate is required to ensure that all images are correctly optimised ad tagged. Making sure when products are zoomed in, they are still of high quality for the customer viewing (both picture and video).
  • Monitoring discontinued products on the site and updating cross selling information appropriately for discontinued products.
  • Work with the content Marketing Manager to organise product category photography. This will be done through using the supplier / brands online image.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in, retail, online merchandising, and commerce beneficial.
  • Have a genuine interest for delivering outstanding customer service. Always making decisions with the customer being at the forefront of choices.
  • Confident in their communication skills, building relationships with clients such as suppliers.
  • An active team member, with a drive to contribute ideas. Willing to learn new information not only of the company but of the industry too!
  • A passion for the retailing industry!
  • Confident in their numerical skills
  • Provide excellent written English skills, as well as verbal communications skills too.
  • Have a keen eye to detail for the presentation of products.
