Our client is a multi-award-winning business who have taken the financial world by storm, as they continue to grow, they are now looking for a highly skilled Web Analyst to join their dynamic Manchester team. The Web Analyst will be accountable for supporting the growth of the business through careful analysis and interpretation of data. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing the key decision makers of the business, the insight needed to grow the company. The business is searching for an individual with the ability to understand and pull insights from complex data sets and offer recommendations in a concise and cohesive manner whilst also having previous experience of experimental setup and post analytics.

The Main Responsibilities of the Web Analyst:

  • Oversee and manage the organisation’s websites and their web analytics
  • Generate detailed, regular reports which display the websites KPIs through careful tracking and analysis.
  • Offer insight into the online customers’ behaviour by analysing the customers’ journey and develop the company’s attribution model.
  • Work closely with other team members in regards to the consistency of different data stores.
  • Become the ‘go-to’ person for all Google Analytics related queries whilst also providing ad-hoc analysis for various departments.
  • Develop campaign tagging so that all marketing can be accurately tracked through both online and offline conversion.

The Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Proven experience of working within a similar role is vital
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills (Maths degree desired but not essential)
  • Excellent consumer web and marketing experience
  • Ability to understand and pull insights from complex data sets and offer recommendations in a concise and cohesive manner
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Google Analytics
  • Expertise in Excel and Tableau
  • Understanding session replay/heat mapping tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Sharp eye for detail with accurate grammar and spelling
  • Knowledge or experience using attribution tools would be advantageous
  • Experience of experimental setup and post analytics along with the capability of successfully delivering data-driven web analysis’ in order to provide recommendations to drive improvement
  • Knowledge of Hitwise or other competitor monitoring tools is ideal but not essential!
