Do you love immersing yourself in data in order to make insightful findings? Become a UX Researcher for a well-established retailer in Manchester city centre and play an integral role in their product development!

The fashion phenomenon's office is surrounded by quirky restaurants, bars and shops in one of Manchester City Centre's most vibrant areas! This means that you'll have many opportunities to explore the hidden gems nestled in the area! The company is a highly successful competitor within the fashion industry and now they are looking for a talented, knowledgeable and ambitious UX Researcher to come and work for them!

Working within the Ecommerce Customer Experience team, you will provide a key link between the Marketing and IT departments, suggesting practical improvements through strategic development of the eCommerce systems. The triumphant candidate will be highly analytical, and able to provide insights into customer needs from product design and research. You will also be expected to conduct usability research and testing, creating personas and presenting your findings to the wider team and stakeholders in the business.

Main Roles and Responsibilities of the UX Researcher:

  • Responsible for the planning and delivery of customer research at every stage of the product’s lifecycle
  • Ensure that the customer’s wants and needs are thoroughly understood and used in the product development process
  • Facilitate training in order to focus on customers problems and opportunities
  • Articulate and present actionable product research findings and recommendations with stakeholders throughout the business
  • Work closely with designers, developers, product owners and marketing teams to further improve the user journey.
  • Design quantitative and qualitative research approaches to best match research aims
  • Adopt end-user research and testing
  • Maintain working relationships with usability research agencies
  • Define our UX research strategy to ensure constant improvements in product development, allowing the business to remain competitive in the industry

The Key Skills and Attributes of the UX Researcher:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in UX research
  • Knowledgeable of statistical, qualitative, and quantitative research methods
  • Proven experience of integrating customer research into real-life practice
  • In-depth understanding of user-centric design principles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving ability
  • An excellent team player who has a positive outlook and an approachable nature
