Take the baton and run as the new UX Design Manager for a nationally renowned retail company who have built themselves an impeccable reputation over the years. Playing a fundamental role in the business through leading and building your own design team, this role is certainly one to get you excited, so keep reading!

Our client is a well-established, prestigious brand which boasts huge success in the retail sector and there is no sign of stopping them yet. They are now searching for an ambitious and creative leader to join their highly skilled UX team to help them achieve their goal of transforming the industry they operate in. Improving the customer journey is the core objective of this role, therefore, they are looking for a UX Designer who will enter the business with the same ambition and drive to push the boundaries and deliver cutting-edge campaigns across all brands within the business. The triumphant candidate will be a natural born leader who is constantly thinking outside the box for ways to enhance the customer journey through ground-breaking UX design.

Main Roles and Responsibilities of the UX Design Manager:

  • You will dominate the UX strategy across all brands, setting out a vision and roadmap for all designers.
  • Manage and lead a large team of UX Designers, ensuring all objectives are met and that design work is completed to a high standard throughout the business.
  • Develop and nurture strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Create innate but distinctive experiences for their large customer base across all brands and touchpoints.
  • Be commercially aware, staying up to date with the latest technologies and UX best practice in order to constantly drive transformation and stand head and shoulders above the competition.
  • Join forces with the UX Research Lead on defining and optimizing the Research, Analytics and Design (RAD) process in order to maximise the potential of all design outputs, enhancing the customer experience.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • An inspiring individual with proven experience of successfully leading design teams within customer-focused companies.
  • Have a passion for design innovation and enhancing the customer experience.
  • Highly interpersonal, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing to challenge current processes to revolutionise the customer experience.
  • In-depth experience designing for multiple platforms and devices, including motion and interactive design.
