Senior Web Analyst – Education – Manchester - £50,000

Calling all Senior Web Analysts seeking to take on a new challenge! Work for this expanding educational services business and play an integral role in their analytical offering!

An educational eCommerce company is looking for a Senior Web Analyst to work in their Manchester City centre offices. This exciting role offers you the opportunity to work on a multitude of globally renounced websites, focusing on the implementation, maintenance and management of analytics across their portfolio. You will play a fundamental role within the business, being the central point of contact for web analysis and tracking, as well as being an advocate for digital analytics to stakeholders across the business.

Main Roles and Responsibilities of the Senior Web Analyst:

  • Be responsible for the configuration of Google Analytics, implementing it correctly and monitoring traffic.
  • Carry out continuous maintenance and improvements of Google Analytics to ensure KPI’s and business goals are met.
  • Ensuring the consistency and accuracy of data collection in line with business requirements and definitions via Google Tag Manager for web analysis.
  • Guarantee that all UTM tracking is set up accordingly and owners abide by UTM rules across all marketing activity.
  • Owning and delivering all Google Analytics data attribution modelling, aligning it with their business profile, strategy and goals across all websites.
  • Delivering maximum value insight to the business including; site performance and benchmarking, page performance, traffic volume and engagement metrics, troubleshooting, conversion funnel visualisation and reporting.
  • Sharing analytical insight and best practice with the wider business – educating them on Google360 suite and web analytics tracking.
  • Manage relationships with third parties and key stakeholders.
  • Develop good working relationships with other in-house teams such as IT, Product, Content and Marketing Managers.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role within an ecommerce business.
  • Experienced in innovating and developing compelling insight.
  • Highly competent with digital tools including Google Analytics, Data Studio, Google Tag Manager, Pixel Tracking and Adobe Analytics.
  • Previous working knowledge of data layer implementation, HTML, CSS and JavaScript is highly advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of SQL/SAS/R/Python would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Confident presentation skills and the ability to articulate reports in a clear and concise way.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
