Senior .Net Developer

Partnered with one of Manchester’s most highly regarded software development teams, The Candidate are searching for a talented and experienced Senior .Net Developer. As the Senior .Net Developer, you will be joining a modern tech environment built using an exciting stack of C#, .Net Core, SQL< NoSQL, messaging services, WebAPI, WCF, Microsoft Orleans and more. Creating a unique system with internal and external integration services, the Senior .Net Developer will be both responsible for the creation of greenfield functionality inline with required business timelines, and the mentoring of junior members of the team as they embark into their software journey. Reporting into your Software Development Manager within a small product team (which sits as part of a significant wider dev team), you will truly shape the future of a business which plans to make its stamp across the globe on the gambling platform.

Although this role will start on a fully remote basis, the business plan to return to a predominantly office based environment when possible. The offices are based in a convenient Manchester City Centre location.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior .Net Developer:

• Implementation and delivery of sections of functionality and the updating of existing product features.
• Guiding junior developers in their journey into software development.
• Continue your own personal development through a structured career path into the role of Lead Developer.
• Report directly into your Software Development Manager to ensure you are able to deliver your software requirement in line with agreed business needs.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience as a development leader within a .Net environment.
• It is essential you have created complex back end systems implementing .Net core.
• Wider understanding of how your Back end development links with the front end requirements of the business. The front end is built in React.js but this is a purely back end role so you will not be needed to delve into the front end.
• Passion for improving those around you with a desire to help junior members of the team grow into their roles and responsibilities.
• Keen attention for detail and a natural desire to thoroughly test and deliver your best quality work.
• Experience of unit and functional testing is important.
• Outstanding communicator, both verbally and written, with a desire to build relationships across internal teams and stakeholders.
• Passionate about continuing your self-improvement with a desire to become involved across the entire software lifecycle.
