QA Engineer - Manchester - £42,000 - Technology

Our client are an exciting digital agency who design, build and optimise attractive Shopify eCommerce sites for rapidly growing brands. From the get go you will assist in the quality assurance of projects in conjunction with the project team contributing to the continued success for the business!

About the role

As the QA Engineer you will take huge pride in what you do and have an outstanding eye for detail which in turn will help to deliver the highest spec solutions to clients. You will work collaboratively with the wider project team made up of designers, developers, project managers, client services and IT support all with the end point being to build world class eCommerce sites build on Shopify Plus. You will be the point of contact for QA process and strategy across the company so this is very much an autonomous role. The role will mainly sit in the testing of new website builds to ensure they’re ready to ‘go-live’ for customers whilst also defining the test needs for each project.

This role is permanent, full time and remote (meaning you’ll never have to commute again). Our client do have an office in Bath however its optional if you ever wanted to go there with the team usually organising get togethers on Fridays to keep in touch. If that’s not your thing, they hold virtual coffee mornings aswell!

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • 18 months+ experience testing in a digital environment
  • Be able to add significant value through comprehensive testing
  • Be strong in creating clear documentation, writing test scripts, logging tickets and bugs
  • Able to perform regression testing well
  • Have great communication skills with business stakeholders
  • Be a quick learner
  • Able to use various testing techniques and diagnose potential defects
  • Have fantastic organisational skills
  • Have exposure to testing in eCommerce platforms such as Shopify or Magento (Desired)
