Operations Manager/Director – Up to £60,000– Leigh (Greater Manchester– Hybrid: Thursday & Friday in office)

If you specialise in Shopify and E-commerce within a Digital Agency, we want to hear from you! The Operations Manager/Director would be responsible for managing and maintaining the operations of the agency, implementing ways to enhance the systems and processes. Within the fast-paced working environment you would work with all departments to oversee major agency operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Account Managers and CEO to oversee agency operations
  • Maximise ROI and profitability through resource management, budgeting and streamlining systems
  • Ability to recognise when to hire freelancers, contractors or new colleagues
  • Work with Project Managers to plan resources and utilisation of staff
  • Help with project scope creation and creating estimates
  • Sending contracts and SOWs to clients
  • Work alongside bookkeeper to ensure invoices are paid
  • Track project profitability
  • Create reports and presentations improvements/solutions to the CEO  
  • Ensure employees and clients are happy

The Perfect Candidate:

  • 3+ years agency or client services experience
  • Operations or team management is essential
  • E-commerce and/or Web Development experience is desirable 
  • Previous track record of managing a team of a creative/marketing or technology agency
  • Previous experience of dealing with contracts, budgets, timelines, resources and staffing
  • Knowledge and confidence to implement ways to improve systems and processes
  • A people person who can work effectively with a range of departments
  • Managing developer and design resources, both internal and remote freelancers
  • Ability to negotiate and dealing with difficult client requests
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise workload
  • Passion and great understanding of E-commerce, Design and Technology
  • Project Management capabilities
  • Proficient in Google Apps, Monday, Bugherd, Slack, Clockify and other project management tools
