Key Roles and Responsibilities of a Media Sales Manager:

  • Manage day to day relationship with agencies and various stakeholders
  • Provide excellent customer service, be the go-to person for client requests
  • Input new ideas for growth opportunities for the agency and new strategic plans to improve sales
  • Monitor competitor activity and ensure the agency remains the market leader
  • Liaising with other teams on external insights regarding business development and new strategies
  • Analyse sales reports and adopt new ideas from results
  • Keep up-to-date with recent media news and trends to support new strategies

Key Skills and Requirements of a Media Sales Manager:

  • Past experience working in media sales – knowledge of all media platforms
  • Good negotiating skills, able to negotiate terms of sales and volume
  • Able to deliver presentations to various stakeholders
  • Experience working in account management
  • Good team player, ability to build great relationships within a team
  • Familiar with media research systems such as TGI and Salesforce
