Media Manager – Greater Manchester Hybrid (2 days in office) - £40,000 – Sports 

An exciting new Media Manager role has become available in Greater Manchester. This business is looking for an individual that is driven and motivated, which is perfect for anyone who likes working in a fast-paced environment! The ideal candidate would have a passion and love for the sporting industry and would work well within a team as well as having management and communication attributes.

The Media Manager will be responsible for liaising with third party agencies as well as researching new media opportunities. The successful candidate will also be accountable for implementing media bookings and producing detailed reports on all paid media activities. The Key Responsibilities of the Media Manager:

  • Manage the implementation of the paid media strategy and campaigns and report performance to other team members and key stakeholders
  • Ensure the best ROI across paid Media by researching performance targets for allocated accounts
  • Work closely with media owners to troubleshoot any problems which arise
  • Constantly aim to optimise all paid Media campaigns through adjusting bid levels and re-targeting
  • Ensure that all account budgets are adhered to
  • Assist the account management team with the buying, planning and reporting functions of their media campaigns

The Key Skills and Attributes Required:

  • Experience within a similar role
  • Previous agency experience or experience managing and liaising with agencies directly.
  • Previous experience of planning and activating paid campaigns
  • A strong understanding of digital advertising tools and techniques (Background in TV would be advantageous).
  • Experience in building and managing budgets efficiently, with a strong focus on P&L, profitability/ROI and hitting growth targets.
  • Competent knowledge of bid management tools, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and producing high-quality work
  • A strong commercial acumen combined with the ability to work under pressure
