Based in Liverpool, they specialise in high quality products that are offered at a competitive price. The business has witnessed significant growth over the past 12 months and is ready to reinvest and embark on a new and exciting phase of development.

The Marketplace Manager will take full responsibility for the business’ website and this will including product listings, content, SEO and link building, therefore, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an expert knowledge of digital marketing! The successful candidate will also be accountable for the account management of their already established partners as well as generating new business and managing their shopping channels – it’s fair to say that no two days will ever be the same!

The Main Responsibilities of the Marketplace Manager:

  • Oversee the management of both websites in regards to content, SEO, links and product descriptions
  • Take control of all social media channels, ensuring that relevant content including competitions are produced regularly
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the latest social media and industry trends and implement accordingly
  • Plan and deliver a successful SEO strategy which covers all topics such as keyword density and meta data tags in order to improve their website ranking
  • Manage the Amazon and Ebay channels and oversee all optimisation changes
  • Develop and executive email shot strategies
  • When required, assist with photoshoots whilst also managing the business’ current accounts and building new relationships with potential partners
  • Manage the production of offline marketing collateral including leaflets and brochures

The Key Skills and Attributes Required:

  • Experience selling on platforms Ebay and Amazon. Someone who has a good understanding of all the features such as promotions, sponsored listings, best way to optimise listing content etc...
  • Strong experience of Google Adwords and how to create strategies and implement them. Understanding of the key features within Adwords to fully maximise PPC campaigns especially the various types of ads such as remarketing, display, search etc.
  • An understanding of UX/UI to best maximise campaigns by assisting designers in creating landing pages
  • Previous experience working on Marketplaces (Amazon and Ebay)
  • Customer centric and with a deep understanding of consumer behaviour
  • Strong ecommerce background and expert knowledge of digital marketing
  • Driven and thrives on success. Hungry for results and information, vocal and keen to ask appropriate questions and listen
  • Attention to detail and spend time delving in and have full confidence in all output
  • Previous experience in managing and motivating a team to produce successful outcomes
  • Analytical skills with understanding of interpreting data, measuring stock, margins, sales and returns in a report format
