Lead Shopify Developer – eCommerce – Up To £60K

As a well-known and well-regarded eCommerce brand, this business is leading in a niche industry and has truly exciting plans for their future. Recruiting across the brand to match their continued growth, the business is excited to recruit a Lead Shopify Developer as to begin their journey into web development. As the Lead Shopify Developer, you will be the sole internal developer and given full autonomy and control over the creative direction of the website development.

As the Lead Shopify Developer, you will have a structure growth plan into a Head of Development role as you take control of the business technical strategy and implementation. Reporting directly into the CEO, you will be responsible for the modernisation and greenfield development for the Shopify build website implementing various language templates. You will be required to implement your knowledge and experience to help drive the website performance whilst optimising the user experience.

Offering an entirely flexible working environment, the business are currently working on a remote basis under the lockdown rules. When possible, they would like to remote to a part office / part remote environment based out of their Manchester City Centre office.

Key Responsibilities for the Shopify Developer:

• Create a greenfield and modernised Shopify website which represents the brand values.
• Conduct A/B testing across website changes to optimise the website performance.
• Proactively support the new product go lives.
• Expand the development team with future recruitment and management of developers as this role progresses into a Head of Development.
• Work alongside wider business teams including marketing, operations, design & more to ensure that you can create fluent functionality which supports internal stakeholder needs.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

• A Shopify expert who is knowledgeable across various Shopify
• Wider web development coding knowledge across HTML, CSS, JavaScript (any modern framework) and relational databases.
• Naturally ambitious and vibrant person who is searching for the opportunity to truly shape a unique and exciting brand.
• Although you will not be getting your hands dirty on design, it is important that the successful candidate has a respect for user friendly design as you control the Shopify web development.
• Ideally you are either from an in-house eCommerce background or digital agency with an extensive portfolio across eCommerce clients.
• Driven by the buzz of cross collaborative working, being able to understand business needs and grow within an energetic & innovative culture.
