Junior Product Owner - £35,000 – Wigan – Ethical Business

They are going through a period of fantastic growth and as a result, we’re looking for a talented Junior Product Owner to join the team and to help deliver and expand the business’ marketing and data strategies.

This is an exciting role that will allow you to turn innovation into a practical reality. The role will support development of the Product Roadmap, turning data led insights and audience demand into market leading functionality and user experience.

You will continually evaluate and review all aspects of the product experience, be a problem solver and aim to improve and grow the commercial success of the digital product.

The successful candidate will work with the Digital Product Manager on defining and identifying development priorities, building high quality user experience all built up on evidence driven business cases to support the Product Roadmap.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and monitor the performance of key web metrics through Google Analytics
  • Support the planning & maintenance of the web product pipeline, drafting requirements and briefs for development work based on agreed priorities, to improve Digital UX and KPIs
  • Carry out user acceptance testing to ensure the delivery of new work meets required standard and product roadmap priorities.
  • Manage the implementation and reporting of testing plans and experimentation using multiple tools, helping the business to learn and identify areas for growth and enhancement.
  • Research & monitor the wider market and digital product activity, to support the business in maintaining a competitive edge
  • Being proactive with conducting regular testing of user journeys; escalating any unforeseen issues, or highlighting areas for improvement against Digital and Strategic priorities.

 About you:

  • High level of attention to detail, with strong administration experience
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Experience using web content management systems
  • An excellent communicator, driving strong clear messaging both to internal and external stakeholders
  • You’ll have 2+ years’ experience in a digital project, product or similar role and writing story requirements.
  • Experience using Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of HTML
  • Understanding of analytics and the ability to use data to build business cases and drive business recommendations
  • Experience with web platform testing tools (particularly A/B testing)
  • Experience or interest in Agile BA methods, to aid collaboration with our Technology and Delivery teams
  • Comfortable taking direction and feedback from multiple stakeholders both internal and external.
