Our client has spent the last few years and £30 million developing a new platform to accommodate their online business. With plans to scale their international products over the next 5+ years.

The platform accommodates products such as sports betting, gaming and player management with a consumer facing web and mobile apps and all the systems that make the business work.

They aspire to build and operate the sports gambling sector’s best tech platform and have the full backing from their parent company. As the Infrastructure Engineer you would be based in the North West in either the Manchester or Wigan office working with 150+ employees who enjoy a balance of time in the office and time working from home as after all this is the ‘new normal’!

A typical day to day as an Infrastructure Engineer will consist of providing technical support to the network and server infrastructure as well as maintaining documentation of external stakeholder networks and systems for internal staff. You will be the point of escalation for internal teams to come to ensuring all incidents are acknowledged, in line with the process and internal SLA’s. This role has a requirement for 1 day on call per week however this is rewarded with an extra £250 and time in lieu.

Salary on offer up to £45K with companywide (performance based) annual bonus of 10%.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple work-streams such as problem tickets, projects, incidents whilst ensuring communication is upheld through regular meetings when needed
  • Keep in line with project, incident and change management methodologies whilst providing advice on disaster recover, capacity management and continuous improvement planning
  • Able to identify and escalate ideas to management about the infrastructure
  • Provide technical support to the network and server infrastructure
  • Plan infrastructure projects including plans, designing, and implementing
  • Identify business projects with your technical expertise to provide documentation to aid the delivery of the project

The Ideal Candidate

  • Will have 2 years’ experience working in a similar role
  • Be competent in working autonomously
  • Will have experience working with VMware
  • Will have knowledge of AWS
  • Will be a problem-solver and have excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Works effectively in a team and solo
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
