Our client is a highly successful award-winning Digital Agency based in Manchester City Centre!  With a decade of digital experience under their belt, our client is looking for a highly experienced Head of SEO to inject their knowledge into the business in order to develop their SEO strategy. The successful candidate must be a confident leader and be able to thrive in a fast-paced working environment.

As the Head of SEO, you will hold full responsibility for planning and implement integrated Technical SEO, Content Marketing and Influencer marketing campaigns whilst maintaining top quality relationships with clients. Additionally, you will be expected to review and optimise reporting frameworks in order to enable the business to report back to clients on performance accurately. This is a superb role for someone looking to spearhead the growth and direction of an already highly successful agency.

Key Responsibilities of the Head of SEO:

  • You will be responsible for defining, leading and managing all SEO, content and influencer marketing across all accounts.
  • Develop product offering across SEO, content, and influencer marketing services through process improvements and tool recommendations.
  • Take charge of campaign research and production.
  • Proofread all content produced, including support with the production of editorial or on-page content production.
  • Support for research and creation of pitched pieces of work, as well as being responsible for the reporting of client performance and main KPI’s.
  • Use data collected in order to make ongoing suggestions and recommendations to improve Organic Search Performance.
  • Manage a small team, and provide training, support and advice on SEO best practice and workload prioritisation.
  • Be knowledgeable of the latest industry news and trends for SEO and content marketing in order to contribute to company blogs and website.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • At least 5 years’ experience working within a fast-paced agency with SMEs to enterprise level clients and managing a team of SEO and outreach specialists.
  • Proven experience working in a mid-level management role for at least 2 years, involving direct line management responsibilities.
  • In-depth understanding of key SEO tools used to complete Content Marketing and Technical SEO strategies backed by data including SEMRush, SEO monitor, DeepCrawl, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SearchMetrics or similar.
  • A strongly confident leader who has the ability to motivate and manage individuals towards continual improvement.
  • Able to create achievable Organic Search projections and present them to in-house teams in an understandable way.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills as well as strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Good grasp of how to use search trends, demographics and user-behaviour data to enforce an earned media strategy.
