Head of Marketing – Manchester – Fashion Retail

This eCommerce business is a rapidly growing specialist fashion retailer based in Manchester city centre. They are rapidly gaining market share in their sector providing top-quality stylish products which follow the latest trends to their customers. Our client is looking for a Head of Marketing who has gravitas, relevant experience and a strong commercial trading mentality to inject the business with energy, passion, knowledge and determination to take both the business and the team to the next level.

The Head of Marketing will lead a growing in-house team and an external agency that together will deliver the full marketing strategy. This company is at a pinnacle stage of growth, reaching out into international markets, launching 2 new brands within the portfolio and they are looking for a strong candidate to join them who has experience in both fashion and / or beauty retail who has a full grasp of digital. As part of the growth of the company the Head of Marketing will be integral in the long term strategy and their transition into the US Market, this person will need to have additional proven success in the US market. Skills and Attributes

  • Strong background in the fashion and / or beauty industry - desirable but not a prerequisite
  • Strong managing a large team across multiple disciplines
  • Commercial mind-set well equipped with key trading skills
  • Experience of the full digital mix, leading a team of specialists including paid media and influencer outreach programmes
  • Having a strong grasp and deep understanding of the target audience
  • Experience working successfully with a similar size fast growth business in the region of c.£15- £25 million annual turnover within their career
  • Confident and analytical in reporting on performance and making recommendation for improvements
  • Decisive and able to make considered decisions
  • Driven and enthusiastic with an entrepreneurial mind who can be creative and has a long-term vision that will aid international expansion into the US and launching new brands
  • Must have a good interpersonal skills and can use these with integrity to influence and gain buy in with agencies, departments and key stakeholders
  • Focused and committed with achieving and exceeding targets
  • Have a supportive and encouraging nature and other important leadership skills, capable of setting and monitoring KPIs and developing the team on a regular basis
  • Can prioritise and work across multiple tasks and channels when required
  • Numerical and able to quantify facts and figures and able to use analytical tools such as Google Analytics to report and provide insight
  • Experience managing budgets and marketing campaigns across digital channels including PPC, Paid Social, CRM, SEO, Affiliates and a strong knowledge of the full marketing mix
