Our client is in a phase of huge investment and growth, and needs an experienced and talented Head of Marketing to lead their strategy, manage highly-skilled teams, increase brand awareness and create cutting-edge campaigns. They are a technology business that provides software making private hire transportation more accessible to businesses and customers alike, with an office in Manchester and aims to go global!

The successful candidate will be able to push boundaries and try innovative ideas to meet business objectives. Leading and developing their own marketing/content team, as well as collaborating with the wider leadership team. Communication skills, creativity, and commercial acumen are all essential to this role!

Role and Responsibilities of the Head of Marketing:

  • Leadership- strategy planning, team development, budgeting and setting targets
  • Brand Management – Create exciting campaigns and initiatives, email marketing to drive engagement, align brand tone/guidelines with the design team, manage external PR/Social agencies, attend and organise brand events, deliver stellar copywriting, refine customer needs through research and communication
  • Business Development – acquire new customers through lead-generation to achieve wider business goals working with both internal teams and external agencies

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a skilled marketeer, ideally within tech, consumer or b2b marketplaces (8+years)
  • Strong team leader with 6+ years experience in managing marketing/comms teams in a technology company as well as working with external agencies
  • Results driven with experience to back this up – able to achieve objectives in tight timeframes
  • Excellent organisational skills with superb attention to detail
  • Fantastic communication skills – able to present to any stakeholders with ease
  • Experience building strong teams and mentoring them to progress
  • Analytically minded – can deep dive in big data to make insightful suggestions and decisions
  • Entrepreneurial individual – self-starter, motivated, enthusiastic for any task, determined
  • Technology obsessed – able to create landing pages, manage CRM systems, social media platforms, analytical tools, SaaS, and HTML (beneficial)
  • Knowledge of lead generation, paid acquisition, and business development
  • Be a brand champion! Channel the brand message and put customers first
