Group Director of Performance Marketing – Manchester - Flexi-Remote (Minimum of 1 Day a Month) - Up to £140,000 – Retail 

Our client has a strong reputation all over the world and wants to take their offering to new heights! They operate in multiple markets and channels, have won numerous awards, and are a household name when it comes to retail and ecommerce.

They’re looking for an experienced Marketeer from a paid media background who also has broad digital knowledge to join their team as their Group Director of Performance Marketing. The successful candidate will work with huge budgets, and manage a high performing team of around 10 people. Omnichannel experience is vital, as is a high level of commercial acumen and an analytical mindset.

The Group Director of Performance Marketing will develop the strategic mission for the multi-channel department - focussing on driving sales, growing the company, and hitting all key objectives across multiple brands.

Role and Responsibilities of the Group Director of Performance Marketing:

  • Develop optimisation strategies, forecasts, reports, and plans for cross-channel activity
  • Refine ecommerce best practice across the business, ensuring the company is up-to-date with any trends, insights and opportunities
  • Continuously engage in testing to highlight areas that can be improved upon
  • Take the lead in regular performance meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Take ownership of finance processes, reporting on the performance of all channels
  • Management and development of a high performing team

Skills and Experience Required for the Group Director of Performance Marketing:

  • 5+ years Digital marketing experience, or specialist experience within SEO, Paid Media or Affiliates and Partnerships
  • Background in retail / ecommerce is essential
  • A solid understanding of the way that paid and organic channels operate and intersect
  • Able to lead from the front, inspiring others
  • Commercial mindset, and able to manage large budgets
  • Solid analytical skills - adept at Google Analytics and other analytic tools
  • A strong strategic thinker
  • Great at building strong working relationships
  • Experience of managing and growing a strong team
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Organised and great at presenting to various stakeholders
  • Client-side experience is highly beneficial
