Thrive in this dynamic and vibrant Ecommerce business as their newest Ecommerce Trading Manager. You will join an agile an and well-respected team, with this role playing a large part in their growth plans and development of their eCommerce strategy.

The Ecommerce Trading Manager will know all things e-commerce and be the first point of contact for marketing and buying departments. They will be an active investigator looking for new sales opportunities and gaps in the market. The Ecommerce Trading Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing successful e-commerce strategy, reviewing progress and conducting any changes of improvement where required.

This role is based in Manchester City Centre with 3 days per week remote working.

Roles and responsibilities of the eCommerce Trading Manager

  • Create solid e-commerce strategy, drawing in promotional trading plans that will achieve the overall company objectives
  • Be knowledgeable in all products, ranges, and competitors thereby providing insight and recommendations where necessary
  • Review performance weekly looking for further opportunities to drive sales, also report findings and suggestion to key stakeholders
  • Review sales on a daily basis identifying any weaknesses and propose actions to increase sales especially for slow sellers
  • Work closely with the digital marketing department to optimise web traffic and sales
  • Manage the team and create a fully functioning, successful department, training and motivating team when necessary
  • Constantly searching for new developments to take advantage of to improve visitor conversion rates and monitor competitor performance
  • Work alongside the Buying and Merchandising teams to apply a cohesive online range throughout the season

Skills and Attributes

  • Previous experience in merchandising or working closely with the merchandising team is vital for this role
  • Customer centric and with a deep understanding of consumer behaviour
  • Be an approachable individual with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with departments especially the Buying and Merchandising team and Multi-Channel
  • Driven and thrives on success. Hungry for results and information, vocal and keen to ask appropriate questions and listen
  • Attention to detail and spend time delving in and have full confidence in all output
  • Previous experience in managing and motivating a team to produce successful outcomes
  • Analytical skills with understanding of measuring stock, margins, sales and returns in a report format
