Ecommerce Product Merchandiser Manager - Nottingham (Hybrid) - £35,000 - Retail

The Ecommerce Product Merchandiser will be responsible for the day-to-day smooth running and operations of product and store management of their websites. Responsible for end to end product launches and landing page execution ensuring consistency and delivery well in advance of time.  

This role makes sure all the product, campaign/promotions and store information on the site are setup and displayed correctly. You will always be on the lookout for new trends and opportunities to increase sales, working collaboratively across Ecommerce, marketing, trading and other business functions to ensure that online sales and conversion opportunities are always maximised. You will be able to work at pace, challenge and drive results, and demonstrate a track record of success. 

A typical week will involve product and promotion management, price matching, competitor benchmarking, identifying trends in customer behaviour and in data from a variety of sources such as Google Analytics. This position will also co-ordinate and provide support for trading, marketing and warehouse and stock teams as required solving and troubleshooting to ensure all channels run smoothly and effectively.


  • Create & Implement Online Trading & Merchandising plans  
  • The day-to-day merchandising and operations of and and associated reporting, analysing & reporting weekly on website analytics & trading KPI's  
  • Onsite search management 
  • Competitor monitoring and benchmarking including price matching activity to ensure competitiveness  
  • Reviewing customer journey to identify opportunities to improve customer experience and conversion  
  • Sole owner of all online product & promotional activity.  
  • Responsible for management, implementation and crafting all onsite promotions, across all channels liaising with the buying team to set-up online only deals, ensuring all the website promotions are implemented and live across all relevant channels  
  • Recommendations for all homepage banner nominations and merchandised pages requirement for new products and new campaigns and promotional periods. 
  • Maintain strong relationships with key departments that serve the e-commerce team within the business, including GV Development team, buying, stock control and marketing. 
  • Day-to-day product management & pricing/campaign management on the CommerceTools to support product launch, promotions and campaigns, and any product optimization   
  • Ensure all product information and promotion/campaign setup (incl. pricing, date, voucher code if applicable) are correctly displayed   
  • Analysis of performance and regular reporting to the Digital Trading Manager &  Head of Digital

About you:

  • Online retail experience for a minimum of two years 
  • Ability to co-ordinate multiple competing priorities 
  • Ability to work to a budget whilst still being able to trade profit opportunities on a continual basis 
  • Analytical with knowledge of Excel 
  • Content Management Systems 
  • Good understanding of Online competition and the Online customer
