We have an EXCLUSIVE opportunity for an eCommerce and Marketing Director!

Our client is a very successful fashion retailer and is in search of an eCommerce and Marketing Director who can lead and develop a strong in-house ecommerce team.

Based in Cheshire this role is central to the business meeting their key strategic goals. This role is for someone who is an all round marketeer with a background in a commercial ecommerce environment. They will excel in a cooperative and measured approach that is underpinned with their passion and enthusiasm to deliver and ultimately drive the business forward into their next crucial phase of growth. They will take ownership of the marketing budget and calendar and use their traditional and digital channel knowledge with a high attention to detail and fluency in the competitive environment in which they operate. This is not for a follower but a leader, someone who will really take a lead of the eCommerce team and all its touchpoints from customer service through to aftersales they will make it their business to deliver the very best for their customers and deliver an unforgettable product and eCommerce experience.

Roles and Responsibilities of the eCommerce and Marketing Director

  • Managing a high performing team to make sure website content is up to date, properly optimised and continually maintained at a high standard
  • Report on sales, marketing activities, KPI’s and provide necessary insight and recommendations
  • Develop and monitor crucial the online marketing activities including PPC, SEO, email marketing, affiliates, display and social media and keep a tight reign on ROI
  • Obsess on customer journey and sales and truly deliver an exceptional experience that drives future sales and shapes future marketing activities
  • Monitor and manage site usage and analytics and implement changes and improvements as necessary
  • Keep a close eye on competitor activity
  • Build strong relations with 3rd party agencies and keep on top of their activity
  • Create a sales strategy to achieve the very best business and sales outcomes
  • Provide coaching to sales managers on the company's sales strategies
  • Monitor industry trends and market competitors to support sales goals
  • Assist marketing team in developing and implementing strategic marketing campaigns
  • Provide forecasts to leadership for sales and marketing organizations

What they are looking for:

  • Must have access to transport to travel between offices in different locations
  • Someone who is very bright and really has their finger on the pulse on up to date eCommerce and marketing tools
  • Someone with a business degree that has a numerical and analytic mind
  • Someone who is very comfortable in a fast paced eCommerce environment
  • Someone who is really high performing and has outgrown their role and is looking to take a step up and get their teeth stuck into a new challenge
  • Significant experience in an ecommerce management position (which includes both the aspects of trading and online marketing, hands on)
  • Experienced with analytics packages and using them to report on KPI’s (conversion, sales, traffic etc)
  • Proven experience in devising and implementing online strategies to increase brand awareness and drive sales
  • Understanding and experience using online marketing techniques
  • Used to managing 3rd party agencies and project managing new development work
  • Proven experience within a Fashion brand environment

This great role with exceptional opportunities to perform and grow. This is a hand on management role so this is a face to face role and will be based in the office full time but offers some flexibility.
