Digital Marketing Manager (CRM Focus) – Education - £35,000

This is a hands-on role within a market leading education supplies business. The Digital Marketing Manager to define and implement an email and website strategy across their six brands to drive user acquisition, conversion, and retention. The role will report in to the Head of Digital and have 2 direct Digital Marketing Executive reports. They’re currently working remotely, but the office is open if anyone would like to use it. Working from home will be part of the flexibility moving forward.

You will be confident in producing and implementing an email strategy and mapping out the onsite journey that helps increase open and click through rates alongside a journey that drives the onsite engagement and conversion.

There will be a heavy focus around driving acquisition and profitability through all the digital channels. This role plays a vital part of the business’s digital channels and presence across multiple channels, including Email, CRM, and marketing campaigns. You will be well versed in creating, building, and optimising email marketing campaigns including segmentation.

A strong analytical approach is needed to overview all digital campaigns, reporting, and driving digital transformation throughout.

This is a broad and varied role which will include:

  • Developing the digital marketing strategy and planning, reporting, and driving digital transformation throughout.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing activities against business objectives and make recommendations to the business including web metrics and analysis (visits, behaviour, conversions)
  • Evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points to ensure optimal customer engagement.
  • Email marketing: Understand how to drive customer engagement and reconnect with customers using email. Be able to manage and segment lists over time. Build and implement automated campaigns
  • A/B testing and landing page optimisation: Experience working to analyse gaps in conversion rate optimisation (CRO) and signup flows and tweak, test, and measure to improve.
  • Help grow the knowledge of, exposure to and engagement with Digital Channels throughout the business / drive the adoption of digital best practice

About you:

  • 3 years + experience in a similar role within email marketing ideally within an ecommerce organisation
  • Experience with multichannel platforms, web portals, email platforms, marketing automation alongside knowledge of maximising brand and customer loyalty
  • Experience with email service providers and 3rd party tools (Adestra, Litmus etc.)
  • Web analytics, Google AdWords, SEMrush, Google Analytics, Umbraco
  • Hands-on experience in email campaign building and list selection preferred
  • Analytical and be able to translate complex data into actionable and profitable marketing plans
  • Strong email marketing background with excellent attention to detail
  • Management of a digital team
