Our client specialises in eCommerce, working with some of the biggest names in retail, to build and
grow their businesses online. Reporting to the Enterprise Marketing Director, the Digital Marketing
Consultant will be responsible for developing and building client relationships. They are looking for a
candidate who can demonstrate strong marketing ability and has a strategic approach to online
retailers to build a portfolio of top retail clients. The successful candidate will possess the ability to
consultatively sell award-winning digital marketing solutions to these retailers which will reinforce
our mission and help build long lifetime value from these retailers.

This role requires a results-driven, entrepreneurial, enthusiastic and proactive candidate with
excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the digital marketing channel
ecosystem- including SEO, Paid Search, Social, Email, Affiliates and Conversion Rate.

Based in their Manchester City Centre offices, with bustling shops and bars as well as excellent

Key Responsibilities of the Digital Marketing Consultant:

  • You will responsible for developing impressive digital marketing opportunities for online
    retailers in the UK. Ideally, the successful candidate will do this through a range of channels
    but with focus on specific marketing channels where necessary.
  • You will be required to self-generate leads to build up a strong campaign for clients.
  • Identify marketing solutions through researching opportunities for retailers.
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers
    of potential clients
  • Arrange meetings with prospective clients.
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Build strong internal relationships within the business, particularly with the client-facing.
  • Maximise the potential from each client opportunity you may be presented with.
  • Source and attend frequent national and local industry events in order to represent the brand.
  • Provide clients with retail prospects and work with existing clients to create future retail solutions.
  • Responsible for selling the correct digital services to different clients to maximise performance.

Key skills of the Digital Marketing consultant:

  • 3-4 years’ experience of B2B Marketing sales with a proven track record of success through
    references.
  • Great knowledge of Digital Marketing channels- SEO, PPC, Email, Social Media, Affiliates and
    Conversion Rate Optimisation.
  • Further expert knowledge in two further channels
  • Excellent negotiation skills and be someone who can close a marketing deal
  • Ability to manage time and good organisation skills
  • Commercial awareness and strong financial motivation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous or current Google Certification in Analytics or Adwords is desirable
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • An energetic, proactive, forward thinking individual
  • Should have an understanding/specialism within digital channels – PPC, SEO, CRO, Display,
    email and affiliates.
  • Be creative and be able to come up with creative leads to attract clients.
