This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented individual to grow their career with a proven market leading agency, who always stays one step ahead of their competitors! Our client is an award-winning digital agency, based in the heart of Manchester, and they are now on the hunt for a candidate experienced in leveraging technology that enables efficient measurement and analysis of complex data.

As a Data Director, you will be part of the pioneering team of consultants purposed to make the application of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data tangible to clients and colleagues.  You will be in charge of the project management of a small portfolio of clients, where you will be responsible for assessing their data assets to outline and define opportunities within their business.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain a deep understanding of client data (sales data, web analytics, CRM lists) as well as client-specific 3rd party data and in-house resources such as buzz monitoring, competitor spend and competitor web shares relevant to clients.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of data sources such as Hitwise and TGI Clickstream for the wider group ([m]platform) and preferred partners.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic understanding of tools used such as Prism, Ensight, and DisplayLift for the wider group and preferred partners.
  • Define the potential for using any of these resources in pursuit of insight, execution, and evaluation, and discuss with communications planning team and client to agree and gain commitment to the business case for using data in this way.
  • Control the use of 1st party data and DMPs, to define audience architecture.
  • Manage project delivery and execution, making use of internal/external specialists to help build and sell-in proposals to clients.
  • Hold regular meetings with the community of Data Directors (communications planning, performance, and activation) to review vendors, debate and drive continuous progression.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • At least 5 years’ experience and proven success in a similar role
  • A self-starter who is able to motivate others
  • Proactive in recognising and developing opportunities
  • Remarkably analytical and strong ability to make sense from complex datasets
  • Highly articulate
  • A natural born leader
