The Candidate are recruiting for a Cyber Security Analyst to join a reputable, industry leading organisation in Manchester. With offices spread across the UK, this public-services organisation is a leader of their trade. As numerous business critical projects are beginning to shape the new environment, our client is searching for a Cyber Security Analyst to join their expanding security operations team.

As the Cyber Security Analyst, you will be responsible for the successful operation of business-wide systems whilst monitoring and managing the detection, investigation, and resolution of cyber security incidents. Alongside providing security incident escalation, the Cyber Security Analyst will monitor and report on business vulnerabilities through the use of both internal and external vulnerability resources.

All interview stages will be conducted remotely, and candidates will be started remotely at present.

Key Responsibilities of the Cyber Security Analyst:

  • Monitor and manage the detection, investigation and resolution of technical or cyber security events whilst addressing internal stakeholders within the business.
  • Adhere to business and government policies to ensure the organisation operates in a safe and legal environment.
  • Identify and mitigate cyber security threats such as DDoS attacks through the use of threat control solutions.
  • Complete reviews and analysis of vulnerabilities and cyber operation tools.
  • Report on the progression towards divisional targets and goals for the cyber security team.

 

The Ideal Candidate for the Cyber Security Analyst role:

  • Previous commercial within a Cyber Security Analyst or an Information Systems/Security Analyst role.
  • Expert knowledge within the field of cyber security, physical infrastructure, operating systems, network and databases.
  • Strong knowledge of security issues included threat ontrol solutions and DDoS detection / mitigation.
  • Qualified to a degree standard or equivalent professional accreditation.
  • Motivated individual who has the drive and focus to achieve competitive business targets.
